The Challenge

The Health Professions Council (HPC) is responsible for maintaining and publishing a register of health and care professionals who meet national standards for their training, professional skills and behaviour. Regulating 215,000 professionals across 15 professions, all of whom work in hospitals, community settings and on the high street, the HPC is required by law to publish a Register of professionals who meet their standards and to give the public access to this information. The app provides an extension to the online Register making it available to the public anywhere, at any point.

Our Solution

Mubaloo spend time understanding each individual clients needs at the start of every project. Based on HPC’s target audience, it was decided in the initial scoping sessions, that the best idea would be to develop a native iPhone app. In the same way as the online Register but designed to deliver a high quality user experience, the public can use the app to check that their health and care professional is registered, read relevant news stories and even raise a concern. The application enables the public to search easily and communicate directly with the HPC.

Conclusion

People who download the HPC app will be able to easily check whether the person they are seeing is registered by the HPC. It also provides information on how to raise any concerns they may have directly with HPC.
