Mubaloo was commissioned by RBS to develop a number of prototype apps
for the iPad.
RBS used these prototypes to develop their mobile strategy for the Global
Banking and Markets division and explore how mobile technology could be
applied to their communications in the future.
Our Solution
Mubaloo’s solution repurposed their existing printed client facing newsletter
for the iPad. The application added live market data embedded into the
relevant article content, giving readers up to data information on the current
movements of the equities and commodities being discussed. It also
included additional rich content such as fund manager videos, and interactive
advertising for RBS products.
A second prototype created an information portal for staff and clients to
access the latest market information, reports and commentary, using existing
PDF documents already available. The application used a secure shopping cart
system to allow users to search for and download the reports which were then
available to read offline at their leisure.
