We are pleased to announce that Mubaloo’s CEO, Dr Mark Mason, has been named as a finalist in this year’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards (in association with Natwest), for Digital Entrepreneur of the Year.
Now in its second second year running, this award celebrates great minds in enterprise. The award is designed to recognise the qualities and outstanding efforts of individual entrepreneurs, rather than awarding the business as a whole. The awards are recognised as symbols of industry standards of excellence, amongst entrepreneurs across sectors.
Mark has grown Mubaloo with the launch of the MiBeacons division this year; after the launch of sister company, TRW Digital, last year. Outside of running Mubaloo, Mark provides insight and guidance to other companies and is also chairman of the Prince’s Trust South West Leadership Group, helping to raise money and provide mentoring for young entrepreneurs.
“As a CEO, it’s important to get to the point where you have a team you trust, to run the day-to-day operations. This is what I sought to achieve with Mubaloo. Doing so, gives me the ability to take a holistic view of the company, and to look at new opportunities that will support growth. It’s an honour to be shortlisted as a finalist against so many other esteemed digital entrepreneurs.”
Mark was recognised in The Drum Top 50 Mobile Influencers 2013 and was recently awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Technology from UWE Bristol, in recognition of his contribution in the field of mobile technology.
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards ceremony will take place on the 19th November 2014.
