Met Office app exceeds 1 million downloads

The arrival of snow and cold temperatures at the weekend proved how invaluable having accurate forecasts on the move can be. Since its re-launch less than two weeks ago, including its premier release on the Android platform, the Met Office’s official smartphone app, developed by Mubaloo has now been downloaded over a million times, and was used over six and a half million times over the weekend.

Since its re-launch less than two weeks ago, including its premier release on the Android platform, the Met Office’s official smartphone app, developed by Mubaloo, has now been downloaded over a million times, and was used over six and a half million times over the weekend.

The official breakdown runs as follows:

On iPhone: the app received 439,000 new users to this version, giving it a total of 930,000 users since its launch.

On Android: there were 29,000 new users over the weekend, bringing the total number of downloads to nearly 71,000. The Android app was used more than 300,000 times over the weekend.
