In the run up to this year’s Meffys held on the 19th October, Mobile Ecosystem Forum has published a profile of the finalists within the mHealth category, which includes the Dispatch app created by Mubaloo for London’s Air Ambulance.
Finalists within the category include healthcare treatment and diagnosis solutions, Babylon Health and GoodSAM and lifestyle and health coaching apps Be My Eyes and Ava.
When talking about the Dispatch App, the Meffy’s team said:
‘Working with EE’s app partner Mubaloo, London’s Air Ambulance has now increased its chance of saving lives through a bespoke app that reduces the dispatch process by an average of two minutes. Though two minutes may not sound like much, 10 seconds can mean the difference between life and death for critically injured or ill patients. A world-first air and ground crew app, the app has had a dramatic impact on London’s Air Ambulance’s operations and has helped the team save lives by reducing some of the stresses that come with such a critical job. In some cases, the app, integrated with London’s Emergency Operations centre, has seen ground crews be re-dispatched in as little as 10 seconds. The app is the ultimate expression of how mobile can impact our lives. In the hands of experts, it helps them do their jobs better – which may just save you or someone you care about one day.’
