We are very happy to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for App Developer of the Year at the Appsters for the third year running. After being recognised and awarded the title of App Developer of the Year for the past two years, we are eager to retain our title.
The past year has been a whirlwind year for Mubaloo, seeing us partner with some of the world’s biggest technology companies and winning a number of high profile projects that we look forward to announcing over the coming months.
In addition to being shortlisted for App Developer of the Year, Mubaloo has also been shortlisted for its work on HL Live for iPad for Hargreaves Lansdown in the Best use of API category. The app, which has won numerous awards over the past year, shot straight to the top of the free iPad finance apps upon its release in December 2013. It’s remained in the top 10 free finance apps throughout this year, thanks in part to its design, comprehensive features and usability.
Mubaloo has also been shortlisted for its work on Wild:i, a collaborative project in partnership with Toshiba, University of Bristol, VidCommunications, Wildscreen, 3C Research, and BBC R&D. The project, funded by the Technology Strategy Board is designed to enhance the experience at Zoos and Wildlife Centres, bringing together video in an interactive educational app.
Trials of the project have taken place at Slimbridge Wetlands Wildlife Trust and Bristol Park Zoo Gardens over 2014.
Mubaloo’s CEO and founder, Mark Mason said, “The team has really excelled over the past year. I’m hugely excited about what is currently happening at Mubaloo and the direction the company is taking. There has been a shift in our perception over the past year, with many large firms choosing to partner with us and some ground breaking new projects that will help businesses and other people in a number of different ways.”
