Following on from the success of the Appathon last year, we have decided to run another one! The aim of the event is to work closely with Computer Science Students from the University of Bristol and help them gain experience developing mobile apps.
Over the next few weeks representatives from Mubaloo will be going into the University of Bristol to give tutorials on various elements of app development. These tutorials include:
Project Management and Planning from Account Director, Louise Sturgess & Marketing Manager, Sarah Weller.
From UX to UI from Head of Design, Eli Newman.
Android App Development from Head of Android, Scott Alexander-Bown.
HTML Development from Head of Web, Tom Spencer.
and Testing from our QA Manager, Daniel Box.
Following on from these talks, during the weekend of the 2nd March, the students will then have just over 24 hours to work in teams and develop their own apps! A lot of the preparation will be done beforehand but all of the coding must be done during this weekend appathon.
On Sunday 3rd March, the various teams will then present to a panel of judges, including our CEO Mark Mason, and prizes will be given to the best apps.
We’re so excited to be working with the Computer Science Society again this year and cannot wait to see the apps that are produced!! Best of luck to all of the students involved!
