Mubaloo has been listed as a representative provider in the latest Gartner Innovation Insight paper, ‘Bluetooth Beacons Provide New Value Innovation Inside the Enterprise.’

As the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, Gartner helps business leaders make the right decisions, every day. Gartner’s analysts are based in more than 26 countries, speaking 50 languages and have deep knowledge about technologies that help businesses solve challenges.

The Innovation Insight report identifies that beacons will become a valuable enterprise technology, with a range of applications. Gartner states that: ‘Bluetooth beacons can provide a low-cost, innovative solutions for the enterprise in areas such as proximity alerts, inspection, tracking, navigation and security/authentication. New beacon conventions will allow beacons to move beyond simple proximity functions to become sophisticated sensors.’

In Gartner’s July 2015 Hype Cycle for the Internet of Things, Gartner placed beacons and Bluetooth beacons at the Peak of Inflated Expectations[1].

Mike Crooks, head of Mubaloo Innovation Lab said: “We believe this paper reinforces our view that beacons have far more value for companies outside of pure proximity awareness and marketing campaigns. Put to use in the enterprise, the technology can drive huge efficiencies and help companies to be innovative.”

The MiBeacons Platform, part of Mubaloo Innovation Lab, has been created to help companies and brands manage and deploy beacon hardware and deliver a cloud based platform. It is one example of a platform available to companies to help them deliver rapid return on investment. The cloud based platform helps companies to influence behaviour through analytics, deliver timely and hyperlocal contextual information, in-app content or tools and deliver business intelligence.
