Droidcon is part of a world wide movement to expose the best of Android. Hosted this year on 25th-26th October, Droidcon London covers all things Android, from mobile devices, to TV, to cars and much more!

This year we are thrilled that our Head of Android, Scott Alexander-Bown, has been selected to talk at Droidcon on the topic of “Write Less/ Do More.”

Scott’s session focuses on the features of some of the best and freely available resources the Android community has to offer. Delegates will learn how easy it is to integrate and utilise these libraries into an application, with code examples, so developers can write less and do more.

In depth look at:
  •  Android query, a light-weight library for doing asynchronous tasks and manipulating UI elements in Android. By Peter Liu
  • Actionbar Sherlock an extension of the Android compatibility library designed to facilitate the use of the action bar design pattern across all versions of Android. By Jake Wharton
  • Commons Ware – Various library and utility projects created by Mark Murphy. The libraries demonstrated are commercially friendly Apache License 2.0
Have a look at the Droidcon website to view the full lineup and buy tickets to what promises to be a fantastic event!
