Today, I am pleased to announce, Mubaloo is joining the IPG Mediabrands group.

Seven years ago, Mubaloo opened with a basic aim of helping companies to create useful apps for employees and customers.

Now, with 260 custom mobile solutions created, Mubaloo has built up an impressive reputation as an industry leading enterprise mobile consultancy, app developer and innovation lab. It is a fast moving, exhilarating, industry to be in.

From helping doctors in developing countries identify whether HIV drug treatments will work, creating one of the most used weather apps in the UK, helping a number of financial service companies transform their systems or working with London’s Air Ambulance to help its team improve its chances of saving lives; apps are continuing to shape the world we live in.

IPG Mediabrands has witnessed the changes mobile and digital is having across all aspects of media, consumer behaviour and how businesses operate. In recent years, CIOs and CMOs have needed to work closely together to enable transformation both internally and externally.

By bringing Mubaloo within the group of IPG Mediabrands companies, it is now able to offer the leading UX capabilities, specialism with complex backend systems and cross-platform development skills, that companies increasingly need. As part of the acquisition, Mubaloo will be extending resource to Ansible, the consumer mobile arm of Mediabrands. Our focus to enterprise remains.

As many of you will know, I took a step back last year to become Chairman of Mubaloo. I will remain involved with Mubaloo for the next year, whilst Sarah Weller and Gemma Coles will continue their excellent work as managing directors here.

I am immensely proud of the work that the team has done here over the past seven years. I would like to thank everyone who has supported Mubaloo and all of the people who have worked here.
