Here is a second helping to some of our team’s home screens. Apps on the home screen tend to be the apps that people use the most and we thought it would be interesting for you to take a look at the different personalities (and platform choices) of Mubaloo!
Janine Nitz, German Business Development Manager
Since recently discovering the ‘remind me at a location’ option on the Reminders app, I’ve been using it a lot more. I also like to keep my English/German dictionary closeby for translating the odd word here and there. Finally, my favourite new app is cycloramic – by placing your phone upright on a smooth service, the vibrations will spin the phone around giving you a full 360 degree panoramic photo!
Dre Pilipczuk, Android Developer
I used the Themer app to find this Breaking Bad theme!
Louise Sturgess, Project Director
My home screen has all of the apps I use the most and want access to as quickly as possible. I use Messages, Facebook and WhatsApp the most and listen to Spotify often in the car and at home. I do all of my banking through my apps as it’s much easier and you can do it with passwords rather than the passcode generator that is never to hand! The Met office app is always used in the morning to decide what to wear based on the weather!
Joanna Howe, Office Manager
I like to keep my home screen clean and simple with only a small number of apps that I use regularly. I would be lost if I didn’t have my calendar within easy reach and the Gmail app is used for both my work and personal emails. I tend to change my wallpaper dependent on the season and use photos I have taken.
James Tipler, Senior Project Manager
I like to keep my sports and betting apps on my home screen so I can access them easily while on the move. WhatsApp is my most used app so it sits in the dock, along with my other most used apps including calls and Safari. I like to keep Snapchat on my home screen for instant fun!
Ray Britton, Android Developer
I have these icons on my home screen as I need quick access to them or use them reguarly.
Ellis Reed, Junior Designer
Apple apps have priority over the rest of my apps – this is just the way the layout has been since I got my first iPhone. The other apps I use every day are on the second page and the wallpaper goes nicely with my gold iPhone.
Clair O’Neill, Marketing Assistant
The apps on my home screen are the ones I use most and therefore tend to be real-world task apps like Barclays mobile banking, National Rail and the Met Office – all of which I check very often. In addition to these apps, I like to keep Instagram, Facebook and Twitter nearby for social activities; both for work and in my personal life. I also like to keep the Guardian and TED Talks on my home screen so I can keep up with the latest news and talks. Picked the default yellow background to match my yellow 5c!
