Recently, we published a new 20 page white paper that sought to dive into mobile strategy and how companies can approach the subject. The response from the white paper has been very positive so far, highlighting the interest in understanding strategy.
Strategy has clearly always played a role in creating apps, though increasingly we see a change in how companies think about mobile and the importance it plays. Initially, strategy was focused on a single app and how to create it. Now strategy is much more about how mobile relates to the overall business and how it can help to achieve objectives.
Whilst mobile has risen in the agenda, it also presents companies with a number of challenges. These include which devices to support, how to secure corporate data, whether to allow employees to use third party apps to store corporate data and finally, whether to build bespoke or use off-the-shelf apps.
